In honor of the U.S. Grand Prix next week, let's rewind to 2012. Lewis Hamilton was still in his McLaren era, Sebastian Vettel was dominating in his Red Bull, and Formula 1 was making its long-awaited return to the United States.

The venue? The brand-new Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas.

Hamilton started second behind Vettel, but wasn't about to let the reigning world champion have an easy afternoon. After a race-long chase, Hamilton finally made his move on Lap 42, sweeping past Vettel to take the lead.

He crossed the finish line just 0.67 seconds ahead of Vettel.(LOL)

The best part? It was Hamilton's final victory for McLaren before his move to Mercedes in 2013.

A new circuit, an old-school rivalry and one last McLaren victory.

2012 McLaren Lewis. What an eraaa.

I'm calling a Hamilton Ferrari win next week.
